Bettinger invites the candidate to meet him for breakfast to discuss the role / conduct the interview. Nothing unusual there you might think, until you learn that Mr Bettinger arrives early in order to ask the restaurant to deliberately ruin the potential recruit’s first meal of the day. He promises a big tip, but insists they must screw it up royally.
